Six Months Old

This little baby is six months old! She is a really happy girl and we feel so blessed that she is (for the most part) sleeping through the night and is mostly smiles, giggles and laughter.  She loves to be tickled and kissed and we love tickling and kissing her!  She's just a joy to be around all the time!

She is eating lots of food and likes everything we give her.  But so far the thing she has enjoyed the most was strawberries.  One taste and she wanted more right away! She has two cute little teeth on the bottom and still loves and bite and chew on everything she can get into her mouth.

We had a little six month birthday party with Sadie's grandparents and the big activity was going in a swing in the park for the first time.  Sadie wasn't so sure what to think about it.  But we've  been back and now she knows that she likes it for sure.  The last time we were there, another baby who was 11 months old was swinging next to her.  Sadie just watched with amazement at what that other baby was doing. We think she had no idea that she was also on a swing doing the same thing.  When we were walking to the park, I got the hiccups.  And when I turned to Sadie and hiccuped, she thought it was the funniest thing she had ever heard and laughed so hard!  Hearing her laugh just never gets old.

Sadie's Starting Solids

Not only did Sadie get a tooth in mid-January, but she's eating real food! Well, sort of.  She started with rice cereal in January 4th.  She wasn't to sure about it, but eventually got some into her mouth.

Next up was carrots which she really wasn't into until the third time we tried it.  

And peas.  Which were a hit day one and have gotten to be less interesting every day since.

We're excited to keep trying new foods as it's so fun to watch Sadie's reaction. We're also working on getting more food into her mouth and a little less on her face  :o).

World's Cutest Baby

It's official.  We are those parents who are so obsessed with their baby.  But we have a really good reason. She is soooo cute.  My Aunt Karolyn made us this wonderful soft and fluffy photo blanket and we were finally able to get our little model onto it for some photos.

And what we got was proof that we have the world's cutest baby.
