Succulent Project

Another successful Pinterest project! 

I saw this idea here Succulent Idea and decided it was what I wanted to do that day.  And I did it!  It looks really cute on the shelf outside the kitchen window and I'm very proud of it.

Cammie Varga Turned One!

July 28th Cammie turned one!  She spent the day splashing and we had a great day celebrating her.

European Adventure 2012

We had been planning our European Adventure for two years and we finally found a time where we could BOTH take time off work at the same time.  So, we did it.  We booked the tickets and spent the next five months planning and planning and doing some more planning.  But it was worth it.

Here's what we did:

July 2012

4 - 7  Vienna, Austria

7 - 10  Salzburg, Austria

10-13  Split, Croatia

13-16  Hvar, Croatia

16 - 17 Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia

17 - Rijeka, Croatia

18-20 - Berlin, Germany

We saw so many amazing things and had such a wonderful time.  We also took so many pictures.  Most of them are on Facebook and so you have all probably seen them, but here are a few of our favorites.  If you have two hours and want to come over and see ALL of them, you just let us know.  

Lindsay's Favorite Things About Our Trip

1. The Sound of Music Bicycle Tour in Salzburg.  (Obviously)

2. Eating chocolate croissants daily.

3. Beautiful gardens that inspire me to spend more time in mine.

4. Window boxes full of flowers.

5. Waterfalls.

Adam's Favorite Things About Our Trip

1. The view from the top of the HohenSalzburg Fortress.

2.  Waterfalls, also known as Slaps in Croatian.

3.  Riding bikes around the island of Brac, Croatia.

4.  Looking at all the fancy yachts that docked every night in Hvar, Croatia.

5.  The town of Hallstatt, Austria that we drove to one day from Salzburg.

Congratulations to Kevin and Alina

Better known as Kevlina.

Kevin and Alina got married at the end of June.  We had a fun little getaway with Paul and Laura up to LA for the wedding.  The ceremony was at a beautiful chapel on the top of a cliff.  It was so peaceful there.

Alina, you looked beautiful.  Why we carried a camera around and didn't use it once the wedding or reception started....I don't know.

What we did get pictures of was a few not so great ones of us...but I'm sharing them anyways because the background is so pretty!

I didn't get any mashed potato martinis at Kristi's wedding...so I had several at the Kevlina  wedding.  

Kristi's Wedding Day

Kristi and Philip picked a wonderful day, my birthday, June 23rd, to get married.  It was a beautiful day on Coronado with perfect blue sky and a few puffy clouds.  

I had a great day celebrating with them. I got to get dressed up and go to a big party, and my friends were all there!  

It's a birthday I'll always remember!

Kristi's Wedding

Kristi got married!  So I threw her a party!

The day before the wedding my mom and I threw Kristi a Bridal Brunch. We had so much fun planning it and everything turned out so beautiful! 

We had a delicious brunch, played games and all talked about how much we LOVE Kristi and Philip!  Kristi's family had all traveled a long way to be in San Diego and so they got to spend one extra day celebrating with her.

My Mustache Birthday

My wonderful team at work threw me a cookies and milk birthday party at work.  

We pretty much have more fun than anyone else...

Rhine Family Croquet

Croquet is serious business in my family.  When summer comes and we are outside, we play croquet.  My Aunt Mary Alice got us a really nice set and we christened our new home with a game finally this summer.

We all look really serious, but I promise we were having fun.

Our back yard was a tricky playing field as the grass is so thick and healthy (or maybe needed mowing).

Celebrating Laura's Birthday

Long Shadow Ranch

For Laura's birthday in April we went wine tasting.  It was a very relaxing day in Temecula.  We actually took pictures at Long shadow Ranch we was so beautiful.  Thanks for having a birthday Laura so we could do this!

Cammie and I matched in pink dresses. No surprises there.

I mad a friend, of course.  He really liked me.  I really liked his beard. 

2nd Half of 2012 Resolution

You may have noticed our break from blogging about our fascinating lives...it's just that we had some parties to plan, weddings to attend and trips to prepare for, trips to recover from, family in town and so...sorry.  I'm playing catch up and it's my 2nd of 2012 resolution to be a better, more interesting blogger.  Because we do fun stuff.  And I want you to read about it.  So, stay tuned. We're trying.
